I’ve been hanging out. A quick little update before the winter.
Pittsburgh! I traveled up there for a work thing in mid-October, which was great since my job is remote and working from home is a little rough when you live with a family. While in Pittsburgh, I got the chance to see two of my closest friends from college. I’m so grateful to have has the opportunity once more.
Rec Room Arts! I began as a new member of their writers group back in September, and I’m currently working on a new full-length play, IMMATERIAL, with them. It’s great to be creating theater down here in my hometown. There’ll be a staged reading of it in Summer 2022 in Houston, so if you’re around, it’d be great to see you there. Here’s a little blurb about what it’s about:
“Trapped in a never-ending maze of Zoom calls, a young adult struggles with mental illness, lack of intimacy, apparitions of celebrity crushes in their home, and the biggest obstacle of all: dating.”
C1 Voting WRITES! Back in September, I co-wrote a short play for Company One Theater’s Better Future: Voting WRITES series! You can watch the collection of short plays on YouTube.
That’s pretty much it for now. My plans are to keep writing, keep reading, keep thinking, and keep going. I hope you and yours are well. Take care until next time.
Wow! Sounds like fun!
